WE ARE CAFE BARI
We are your escape from the city without leaving it. Your home away from home. A warm and welcoming space to sip a coffee alone or with your favorite person. Stop in for delicious Fair Trade coffee, savory meals, and homemade sweets. And stay as long as you like.
Our mission is to carve a warm and inviting coffee shop out of the whirlwind of everyday life. European designs, real smiles, eye contact, French jazz playing in the background, freshly baked pastries and the perfect cortado. A place where you walk in and feel right at home.
If it’s not amazing, we ain’t serving it!
We care deeply about the quality of our products and where they come from. Our coffee is certified Fair Trade, roasted by La Colombe. That perfect cortado is made with a double espresso laced with bold notes of sensual chocolate and hints of caramel, topped with just the right amount of smooth, glossy milk and foam. Our homemade treats are baked fresh in-house every morning, using only premium ingredients.
We believe in greeting you with genuine kindness and impeccable customer service. Our goal is for you to relax and enjoy Cafe Bari, and that you return to your day feeling happy and satisfied, with a smile on your face.
Cafe Bari is a family business serving delicious coffee to New Yorkers since 1993. We first opened right in the heart of SoHo, and as SoHo grew, we grew with it. We served loyal customers for 21 years until the high demand for real estate eventually forced us to close, but with the hopes of making a comeback someday.
The original father-son duo, Bari & Danny, reopened on Canal St. on December 31, 2014, continuing their legacy. Danny and his wife, Melanie, currently run the café with a shared vision: a coffee shop that becomes its own world when you walk in. A place to step away from the hectic noise of the concrete jungle and into a nook of pure serenity.
